As a Principal Engineer for LPL Financial, I am an essential part of the API Modernization and Software Craftsmanship teams. My responsibility is to drive the direction and adoption of our microservice architecture.
With over 30 years of experience in the field, I have spent the last 20 years as a senior lead developer and application architect. During this time, I have worked with both public and private sector clients as an independent consultant. My role was to design and implement enterprise-level systems for Fortune 100 companies and various US state government organizations.
My expertise lies in developing high-value enterprise systems built using Microsoft's suite of development tools, Amazon Web Services, and Software Craftsmanship principles. I am passionate about designing elegant systems using object-oriented programming, design patterns, and refactoring strategies.
My extensive experience and skills have helped me become a reliable and effective engineer who helps drive LPL Financial's success.

Most Recent Project
Update: As of September 2023, I have been promoted to Principal Engineer, a title that is a corollary to VP in our organizational structure, and I am working within the API Modernization team to drive the design of our internal common libraries and cutting-edge microservices architecture!
Update: As of January 2022, I have been added to the Software Craftsmanship team, helping ensure developers follow modern practices.
I am also working with other groups in an oversight and advisory capacity.
Update: As of September 2021, I have accepted the "AVP, Technology" position at LPL Financial.
